On Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 6pm, the Mt. Orab Library brings your family another adventure for our 2024 Summer Reading Program - Adventure Begins at Your Library. A Viking is traveling all the way to our time with her horde of baby dragons to adopt and wild dragon eggs to paint. Come be creative with your new baby pet dragon!

To our time travelers and slime lovers, the Cincinnati STEM Lab is back at the Mt. Orab Library on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 5:30pm, with Wrinkle in Time SLIME. Have fun with some slimy science! On Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 6pm, the Mt. Orab Library is throwing a hootin' good time with our Huck Finn Hootenanny! Bring your family to dance to the sounds of American Folk and Blue Grass played by Sweet Harmony Acres Music and explore family games of yesteryear with artifacts from Ohio History Connection. This program is funded in whole or in part by a Libraries Accelerated Learning grant from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

The Cincinnati Museum Center treks back to the Mt. Orab Library on
Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 6pm! Take your family on an imaginary tour through
the layers of the rainforest in Rainforest Adventure to learn more about the
animals and plants that live there.

The Summer Reading Program - Adventure Begins at Your Library is ending for the Mt. Orab Library! We'd love to welcome you to our last event: a STEAM-powered (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Curiosity Carnival, sponsored by Milacron, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 5:30pm. From robotics to virtual reality, bring your whole bunch to explore! Family Traditions Animal Adventure is rolling into Georgetown Library with some adorable animals for the kick-off event of our Summer Reading Program! While visiting with the special guests, make sure to register for the 2024 Summer Reading Program- Adventure Begins at Your Library.

Come meet an amazing World War II refugee as she shares her childhood experiences growing up amidst the horrors of war. By sharing her story with others, she hopes that people will never forget the terrible ordeals that were suffered. Her brave story of survival is featured in the book “From Stonischken to Gedhus” available on Amazon.com and BraughlerBooks.com.

For inventors-in-training entering 6th grade and up, get to the first Summer Reading Program for you Trail Blazers on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 1pm.

Compete (and beat) your friends in engineering challenges with special kits from Kiwi Co. Create your own chain-reaction contraptions with high-energy physics!

Here's another Summer Reading Program event for the Trail Blazers (those entering 6th grade and up)! On Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 1pm, the Mt. Orab Library is hosting a Bad Art event; follow along a guided bad art challenge, and then go crazy in a free-for-all. Everyone can make bad art!

In the final Trail Blazers (those entering 6th grade and up) Summer Reading Program event, the Mt. Orab Library needs you to solve the CSI mystery! Get to the crime scene at the library on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 5:30pm, to conduct your investigation as Crime Scene Detectives with the Cincinnati STEM Lab.

 You'll be learning how to do it like the real pro detectives: fumigate finger prints, analyze blood, and use even more investigative techniques to help us catch the criminal! Registration is required, call 937-444-1414 today!
